Rob brings a diverse engineering background to the table, having operated everything from deep, hot and sour gas wells in the Williston Basin to primary, secondary and tertiary projects in the Rocky Mountains and Permian Basin, and from large steam floods in California to cold, heavy oil production in Northern Canada, and most recently, to deliquifying gas wells in Western Colorado. He has worked extensively in the design, operation and troubleshooting of most forms of artificial lift; root cause failure analysis; field development planning and execution; and writing procedures and supervising completions, stimulations, maintenance and other downhole work. He enjoys mentoring new engineers to help them apply both engineering fundamentals and pursue leading-edge knowledge beyond the textbook to solve technical challenges.
In his current role, Rob provides training of Engineers and Operations personnel on Artificial Lift (Design, Installation, Operation, Optimization and Troubleshooting); Workover Operations; Failure Reduction Process using Root Cause Failure Analysis; Asset Management; Overview of Oilfield Production Operations; and NODAL Analysis.
